    Nice verticals

  2. The Necromancer Says:

You mean in terms of how high the snow is piled?

  3. ricki Says:

If I were to analyze it, which I guess I am, the verticality starts with the tree trunk, shifts to the stairs (whose verticality is known more than seen), is picked up as a theme by the door, then the windows, then the towers. There’s also a numerical theme of 3 – 3 main panels in the door, 3 windows up, 3 sideways, 3 negative spaces (beside and between the towers) which become positive spaces because they pick up on the 3. It’s all very harmonious, like music. Bach, probably.

That’s quite an analysis. My approach is more instinctual, I think, but borne of experience playing with camera’s since young. This is just a basic digital but I used to have a nice SLR in the analog days, and remember making a pinhole camera that actually worked when I was about 7-8.

    Picture postcard perfect.

    Thanks!
