Not only was I in Boston, I was at Harvard, baby. Did some mind-blowing research on Wilhelm Reich (you know my thing for the outsiders…Doesn’t get more “outsider” than him) and gave a paper at the Medical School to a small group (doz.) of devoted Reichians. My academic career is nothing if not…weird. But in a good way.
Boston is cool. I was there 20+ years ago…And I get the sense that parts of it will never change. Any city with graveyards in the heart of downtown can’t be all bad.
Brookline and around where the Med. School is located is quite upmarket. The essence of America bourgeois. Like the snootier, older parts of suburban Philly…
I remember now- you did say you were going to be hanging out at Harvard…snob. Brookline IS very upmarket- surprised they didn’t ask you for a lineage tree just to pass through. Overrated complacent materialists – whatever. Rather perfect you gave a talk on someone so on the margins and weird. Shame you couldn’t have done it outside at Harvard Square so all the uptight types could listen to you talk about orgasms. HAHA. Surely they all need a few more of those anyway. ;P

Cool shapes and colors — I find these things oddly fascinating when we go down to the harbor.

Yeah, they look very candy-coated, somehow. Really liked this arrangement of them, right behind the old customs house in Beantown…
