A “Real” Thriller

By The Necromancer

I’m the last person to jump on a bandwagon. More likely to slash its tires. Which of course begs the question: “Do bandwagons have tires?”

Before the wheels start really spinning, I thought I’d point y’all to a piece in the Los Angeles Times about Michael Jackson’s love of books. Indeed, it’s an odd angle in the hysteric postmortem the media is conducting au moment.

Tragic that le roi du pop has made it into the dark spaces of this digital desiderata so soon, but that’s what you get for tempting fate trying so hard to achieve eternal youth.

Anyway, nice to know even the weirdest celebrity on earth still read a book or poem from time to time. Makes him seem more human, which in recent years wasn’t that easy to do…

Article comes by way of Arts & Letters Daily…They pop.

I didn’t know about that, thanks for posting it.

Welcome…It is tangential to the passing of a pop legend, but one wants to be sure to leave no stone unturned. On second thought, this is the only thing that has resonated with me at all in this media maelstrom.

This was indeed news for me too…I suppose we are all quick to judge aspects of each other, but it makes perfect sense…There is always more than what’s on the cover.

    Too true.
