That is a fantastic shot — when I was there I took one from a bit farther away and the weather was a little clearer…but the beach in this one is awesome…I am just soo jealous…but really at this point, the idea of a quiet beach with nice waves is also damn appealing…I don’t think the NJ shore is going to cut it…WAHHHH…

Thanks. Feels like a million miles away now. Surprisingly, it was a beautiful sunny Friday evening and there was nobody on the beach. In Montreal a similar spot would be crowded to the point of being irritating. Guess that’s also the problem with the Jersey shore…

Yes, thank you for reinforcing my point.

    Sorry. :(

I love this view — amazing!! What kind of camera and lenses did you use it is just great. I was there this weekend but I didn’t get nearly as good of a shot. You can see the sunset I got on my blog.

Thanks. It was a little point and shoot digital. Just the right light, time of day, etc…How do I get to your blog, BTW?

Oh so there _are_ sunny days in SFO, when the GGB is not all fogged out? ;-)

Good shot. Most of mine — of the GGB — are flukes, thanks to the fog enveloping it every time I was there. Sometimes the car had no sunroof (some of the best shots I had are through the sunroof)…

    Great shot of the bridge!

Shefaly and JV: Thanks. Like I said — good light, no fog, and just the right spot…

Good eye…almost decisive moment Cartier Bresson-like…

So much easier in the digital age. How he did it with low-tech B&W cameras. Amazing. I just wandered down to the beach at the appropriate hour and snapped away…
