My cell phone. In a drunken haze, last night. Feeling like I’m losing a lot of things these days. Friends and loved ones. A sense of direction. My connection to the human world. When it rains it pours. At one of those liminal points — could go any way. Thinking I should go live with the wolves — they don’t care so much for cell phones…
At least my back is feeling a little better.
All about the baby steps.

Does that make me mercurial? It’s funny how important Mercury (a.k.a. Hermes) is in the history of communications. Kind of archetypal to use Jungian parlance. I ran across this realization recently reading Pinchbeck, of all people. And I quote:
“The Greek God Hermes — Mercurius, in Latin — conveying messages between gods and men, is the most daimonic of dieties. ‘Mercurius is both earth spirit and soul of the world, volatile and fixed, Above and Below, psychic and hylic.’ This trickster god of thieves and liars, writers and alchemists, effortlessly slipping between words and worlds, between planes of reality and illusion, can be ‘harmlessly impish or seriously diabolical.’”
From Daniel Pinchbeck, 2012: The Return of Quetzalcoatl, p. 70
In other words: Near…Far. :)

If it’s pouring when it’s raining does that mean that fair weather is soon to follow? I feel like it has been one thing after another where I’m at. Sunshine anyone?
